I’ve noticed over the past few months that my 2015 Chevy Tahoe doesn’t track straight like it used to. On the highway I’m constantly making tiny corrections left and right, and there’s a bit of play in the steering wheel before anything actually happens. It’s not pulling to one side exactly, more like it just doesn’t want to stay centered. I had an alignment done about six months ago and the tires are wearing evenly so I don’t think that’s it. A guy at a tyre shop mentioned it could be worn tie rods or even the steering rack itself starting to go. I’ve been looking into getting proper abu dhabi steering repair done but I’m nervous about the cost because everyone says racks are expensive to replace. Has anyone had similar symptoms that turned out to be just inner or outer tie rods instead of the whole rack? Trying to figure out if I should just replace the cheap parts first and hope.
